You guys HAVE to read it if you've read any Terry Pratchett books before (and liked them, that is, though I can't see how anyone could not)! I swear, that man is amazing, he's the only author who can make me both laugh and cry in the same book. A lot of the Amazon reviews were like, Oh, there's something "different" about his writing style this time, I don't like it, it's too much like his earlier books, etc. I actually thought it was a lot like his newer books in that he has a larger variety of his characters, and his characters are just plain better. It's got to be in my top 3 Discworld books, though not number one, because that spot affectionately belongs to Thud!, one of my favorite books ever....

Anyway...in other news....

I got my ACT scores back today from the October test! They were really good and it made me happy because before I got the same thing two years in a row. If I remember correctly, my Science last time was either 14 or 16 and it's a 25 now. Talk about a jump! My overall was 28 - let's just say I did really well on English and Reading. I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, but I couldn't post this on Facebook because I thought it would sound like I was bragging, so I had to get it out somewhere. I'm slightly worried about the Writing portion, the scores for which have not yet come back, because last time I only got a 6 (out of 12). That's like...in the middle. I don't like in the middle!

So what if I just got a 72 on a Chemistry test...he'll let us do test corrections, at least.

Oh, and I got my first solo in choir!

The Nano, by the way, is doing really well too. I was ahead yesterday so I don't have to spend hours on it today. I'm glad, it's finally picking up the pace.
